A crowned conquering angel rises above a skeleton with broken sythe, holding high the holy book, holding low the removed traps of material bondage,  propped upon a cross, symbolizing the highest spirit conquering the temporary nature of materialism and inevitible death. In the background, colonial conqistadors arriving by ocean, lay waste to indigenous heathen culture, burning cities to spread the holy word of the lord.
